Travelling to Singapore in a Different Mode

Salam.

This entry is about what had happened to me, last week. Before Wednesday, November 16th 2011, my journeys to Singapore were always accompanied by my family members or friends and it is in a HAPPY mode as we always planned to do window shopping or taking pictures or simply said, refreshing there. But what happened last week, was totally different.

This entry was all about the Chinese-look girl standing beside me. This picture was taken on 2009, when she and her mother visited us at Malaysia, and then toogether, we visited Singapore. Her name is Eka Pratiwi. She is my mother's friend only daughter. We are not blood-connected, but because we have a good relationship, later in this entry, I'll just assumed her as my cousin and her mother as my aunt.

The story started when Eka and his boyfriend's family visited Singapore for a short 2-days-only trip. They (7adults and 2 babies) arrived at Singapore on November 11th, 2011 at night. They rented a house just near the Steven Roads. On November 12th, 2011, they planned to find some foods for breakfast by walking along the pedestrian line together while enjoying the forest-in-the-middle-of-city landscape of Singapore. When suddenly a van, in a high speed, hit them from behind.

Two adults were seriously injured. Eka's-sister-in-law-to-be passed away at the moment before she could be brought to the hospital, while Eka, underwent comma in Tan Tock Seng Hospital for 6 days before she also passed away on November 18th, 2011.

I didn't know what was really happened at Singapore until my mom called me on November 13th. She informed me about the accident and asked me to go to Singapore if I had free time, to visit Eka and to accompany my aunt, give moral support and else. Find my boss, asking for permission from work for 3 days and I headed to Singapore on November 16th, 2011, 12pm, alone. At the same day, my sister, my brother in law and my nephew were also headed to Kelantan, for visiting a relative that also in a critical condition.

The bus stopped at Golden Mile Complex, at Beach Road. From there, I took taxi and reached Tan Tock Seng Hospital around 8.30pm. Saw her for the first time, lying in her hospital bed, I was speechless and shocked. She still unconscious and her body was full of wires.

I'll make this entry short.

On November 17th, 2011, me, my aunt, and Eka's boyfriend's family, went to a police station to do some report. I accompanied my aunt to make reports since my aunt could not speak English fluently. Though I always go to police office (my mom works at police office), it is the first time in my life I did all the report things and stuffs.

On November 18th, 2011, in the morning, Doctors of Eka, met us and explained to us that her condition was getting worse. They also said that that day was the determination day, whether she could survive or not. A very very sad moment, when my aunt was just like she could collapse anytime. :'(

We surrounded her bed most of the time at that day, read Surah Yassin and prayed for her. Saw the number of her blood pressure, her oxygen intake of her lungs, her brain pressure in the screen near her bed, went up and down, brought nightmares to all of us. It was 8.30pm, when all of us, went to down to the cafe to have dinner. It's only five minutes at the cafe, when the nurse called us and all of us went upstairs in a mix feeling. Once we reached her room, the unstable numbers on the screen just now were all 0 and the nurse said, she already passed away just a few minutes ago. She died because of severe brain damage, lungs infection, broken heart and some broken bones. A very, very, very said moment when you have to hug a mother that just lost her only daughter. :'(

On November 19th, 2011, in the afternoon. After underwent the autopsy, me, my aunt, her families and an Ustadzah, went to a Masjid near Kranji, to wash Eka's body and to wear her the kafan. Though I have seen the wash processing of a body (when my father passed away), this moment was truly, truly different. It is my another first experience that I won't forget for the rest of my life.

A moment after that, we did the solat Jenazah together and read Surah Yassin again. On 11.30pm, on the same day, I took bus back to KL while Eka's body and all her family members, would take flight to Jakarta, then to Palembang for the funeral, the next morning.

Well, that was all my experience last week. This incident told us how life's truly unpredictable and you should use your age at your best. Because no one knows, when Israil will fetch us.

Last, goodbye to Eka and yuk Etty, may your souls rest in peace there and Allah accept all your good deeds. Amin. Al-Fatihah.

New Template Design

Salam.

Been searching new template designs for this blog for the last 1 hour. Have planned to change it a looong time ago but just find the suitable time now (read: just finished one of my mid semester exam :) ).

Found some interesting templates but I think I forget how to edit it. Pheww! Tried few times but it ended up just like what you see just now. Only can used the templates provided by the blog, though I wanna use the one I found on other websites.

FYI, I really wanna use my signature of just my ID at the end of each entry just like this blog,

And after few searching, I think I wanna use this template

However, as I mentioned, I totally forgot what to copy, where to paste, how to edit, so that I can finally screaming YEAY! as my blog got its new so-really-me design.

Okay, gotta find a friend who's good at it tomorrow. Or someone wanna help? Will very much appreciate it. :) Hehe. Hope to see you soon with my newest blog. :)

Thesis to Coursework

Salam.

Today, August 1st 2011, I've finally made my decision. Soon after I reached my campus, I filled up the form for changing my master program from research to coursework (still in chemistry), ask signs from my supervisor and the chairman of the school and now waiting for the sign from our dean. It maybe takes 1 or 2 days before I can receive my notification letter and officially become a coursework student but still it is a BIG RELIEF!

Have thought about it for a long time, many things to be considered, thinking and thinking again, but then here is the decision I've taken. Thanks to mama, Ayu, Prof Jumat and abg Lan for giving me the courage I've looking for. Hope this is the best for me :)

And that's d way 143

Salam.

Call this week as "minggu jiwang". And here is my another "jiwang-jiwang" thingy! :P

"Love is when you shed a tear and still want him, it's when he ignores you and you still love him, it's when he loves another girl but you still smile and say I'm happy for you, when all you really do is cry".

Find this quote at one of my friend's facebook profile and I just speechless the time I read it. Guess, that's because this quote just so into me and that's the way i love him! Aww :P

Ok, enough jiwang-jiwang for today. Wish you all have a good relationship with the one love. For those who's still waiting for a miracle to happen (just like me), dont ever give up, cause love will find the way. Ewah! :P

TTYL! :)

Overnight at Lab!

Salam.

It's 6.45am and I'm quite sure that it will be my earliest entry made in the morning! Yeay! :D
Well, last night was my first time spending the night at the laboratory. Though many horror stories're spreaded about this building or this laboratory, thanks God, nothing bad happened! :)

Staying whole day at lab is not an interesting thing to do actually, but there is at least 1 or 2 stages in my friends, my seniors or even my own research flowchart that insist us to look after the reaction whole day including night~! Oh, bertuah punya reaction!

But overall, you can add it as an experience though, so just enjoy! :)

Bahasa Indonesia Vs Bahasa Melayu

Salam..

Antara Bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Melayu, I do love them both as I do love Indonesia dan Malaysia.

I keep bahasa Indonesia in my heart but I use bahasa Melayu on lips.

Peace ^^

Hi.. How R U? :)

Salam..

"Hi, how are you?" adalah pertanyaan yang ingin saya ajukan kepada kalian semua, wahai blogger-blogger yang setia menjenguk blog ini.. Sudah lama tidak bersua? Apakah kalian baik-baik saja?? :)

Apakah saya berhasil? ;)

Salam..
